Upon arriving you will be ushered inside by hosts Mavis and Eamonn Fitzpatrick and this is where the journey really begins, sharing their home and skills and Irish traditions that have been passed down over the centuries which include home baking, milking cows, rearing calves, looking after the farm animals, pets and finally giving the guests a true insight into how Irish land is farmed.

The adventure doesn't just stop at the farm, attractions include, Mosses hand crafted pottery, Kells ancient castles and mill, Mount Juliet golf course, Jerpoint Abbey, Famine gardens, Carrishock monument and ancient Irish burial stone the Ogham stone. The farmhouse is located 20mins from kilkenny medieval city and 20mins from Waterford city. In the village of Knocktopher which is located a mere 5 minutes away there is a homely restaurant serving fresh local food for all the guests. There is another pub offering the best music with locals there to tell tales and sing songs of old Ireland. That night you can be sure you will drift asleep tapping your feet!

After a great day of adventure you need a great room to sleep in. Coolmore offers spacious en-suite rooms which are quite and peaceful with great views of the countryside. There is tea and coffee making facilities, Wifi, Tv, hairdryer and an iron located in the room.

After a hearty sleep you will be offered a breakfast that could feed an army. The breakfast is made only with seasonal fresh produce sourced completely locally and even some produce sourced from the farm for example the eggs. We even offer the kids the chance to pick their own eggs for the breakfast from the farm hens. After breakfast if desired the guests can watch the cows being milked and even have a go!
